What your gift will support
When you donate to Centaur, you are investing in a passionate and gifted team of experienced artists and administrators dedicated to creative excellence, ingenuity, and community connection. From presenting mainstage, children’s, and independent productions to hosting guest companies from around the world or showcasing new works, every theatrical event we stage is driven by a growing circle of diverse artists exploring theatre to understand and reflect every facet of society and the human experience.
In addition to award-winning mainstage productions from local, national and international playwrights, we also offer programmes that discover and develop emerging and established artists from all backgrounds, building theatrical bridges between Centaur and all of Montreal. Here are some of our ancillary initiatives:
- Wildside @ Centaur: Annual festival of cutting edge theatre
- Artistic Diversity Discussion @ Centaur: An examination with diverse artists to ensure a welcoming environment for artists and audiences and develop exciting events that open hearts, illuminate minds, and reflect all of our unique communities
- Indigenous Artist Residency
- Queer Reading Series
- Ongoing collaborations with Francophone theatre colleagues
- Theatre of Tomorrow program, which offers students deeply discounted tickets and integrates playgoing into high school and CEGEP curricula
