Centaur Theatre is thrilled to premiere a new English translation by Patrick Emmanuel Abellard, last seen on stage at Centaur in Choir Boy (Season 50). Playing a young man influenced by his peers living in Montreal North, Abellard brings a charged story to the stage that confronts clichés, gun violence and revenge head-on within a Montreal landscape.

Originally created in 2005 by Quebecois actor Alexandre Goyette (Mommy; Laurence Anyways), King Dave was revived in 2021 when the playwright adapted it in collaboration with  Anglesh Major, the latter performing French script with much success at Duceppe. The role was then taken on by Patrick Emmanuel Abellard who toured the show all over Quebec.

Centaur Theatre Company is proud to present the English language premiere of the Théâtre Duceppe production of King Dave, translated by Patrick Emmanuel Abellard himself.
