About the show

Through some of their songs, we will rediscover the days when these ladies were at the peak of their career, at the top of the charts, headlining a Bill, adored by their fans, stumbled and fell, and for some pulled themselves up and continued on creating the image.

It would be impossible to portray every black female performer who captured the imagination of millions and became bona fide legends. But for all these women, and the effect they had on the periods in which they performed, and how they had dazzled audiences decade after decade, they will be represented here by these few, in the quest to discover who they were, through their music. These are the ladies who helped change the course, and the complexion of SHOW BUSINESS today, these are …. “THE DARK DIVAS”!
