A behind-the-scenes discussion between Artistic Director Eda Holmes and Playwright Michel Marc Bouchard
Join Centaur’s Artistic and Executive Director, Eda Holmes, on Zoom for a behind-the-scenes discussion with renowned Québécois playwright Michel Marc Bouchard. They will discuss Embrasse / Kisses Deep, the first-ever co production, in French and English, between Théâtre du Nouveau Monde and Centaur Theatre, to be directed by Eda.
We will also toast the members of Centaur’s Director’s Circle of donors. We couldn’t have made it here without their support!
Artistic and Executive Director for Centaur Theatre, Eda made her professional directorial debut at Centaur after graduating from the National Theatre School of Canada. Prior to becoming a theatre director she was a soloist with San Francisco Ballet and William Forsythe’s Frankfurt Ballet. She has directed across the country, most notably at the Shaw Festival where she was Associate Director from 2010 to 2017. Her selected credits at Shaw include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Arcadia, Floyd Collins, and Mrs. Warren’s Profession. Eda won several awards for her work, including Dora Awards for the musical Little Mercy’s First Murder and for the English-language premiere of Michel Marc Bouchard’s Tom at the Farm. For Centaur, she has directed The 39 Steps, The Children, The Last Wife and Alice and the World We Live In.
